Praise for this book

Could not put it down, the best book I've read in a long time. Oh to be a dragon in this exciting world

I loved this story. From the beginning to the end the description and the world building is brilliant.
Dark and beaufiful. I will be reading the next one.
Highly recommend for dragon fantasy lovers. Page turner from beginning to end.
It was like watching an epic movie in my mind.

Omg this was an excellent read. Have the next one ready and already read the Christmas one too. Can't wait to collect them all. They are so worth a read especially if you love dragons

I bought this book as I love books about dragons (and dragon-shifters) anyway. I really enjoyed this book; it was slow-paced but I don't mind that sort of thing when it's done right. (and this book worked for me.) There was a lot of world-building which I thought was really good and well-worked out. I just loved the idea of a dragon world co-existing alongside our own. I wish that really was the case. I loved the main characters, Peter, Tank and Richie; Gee Tee was also a stand-out part. I loved the re-working of the George and the Dragon myth (and dare I say it, I think I prefer this version of it, that appears in this book.) I liked the cover too; the colours are very appealing to me (my favourite colours are black and red anyway.) There are more books in this series; I am looking forward to reading more of them.

Absolutely brilliant.
I’m not going to lie but I actually believe all of this is happening in real life.
When I told a friend about the story it sounded ludicrous & complete fantasy but let me tell you when you read it, it is nothing short of enthralling
I get bored easily but this book took my breath away.
Thank you Paul Cude ..... clearly you have a fan!!!

Fantasy stories require great world building, characters that are unique and compelling, plenty of action, and a story line that engages and carries you along from first to last page. I would say that all those boxes were ticked in this first book of the White Dragon Saga.

Two worlds, one of which runs deep beneath that inhabited by humans, and is meticulously described. Accessed creatively by a number of portals enabling ancient guardians to move freely between them. There is a wonderful thread of humour throughout the book as the author shares the parallel lifestyles including food, sport and adventure holidays of the mythical creatures, which lightens the mood as the dangerous plot unfolds.

The story opens with mythical dragons and a violent attack on humans that gave rise to the legend of St.George… This chapter sets the scene for events in the present, when long buried evil elements of the dragon community seek to break the harmony created over centuries between the humans and their guardians.

The three young friends Pete, Tank and Richie all love different sports in their human forms and there are some great action sequences that take place on hockey, lacrosse and rugby pitches and on the equivalent game centres in the underworld, but on a much bigger scale. The fast paced commentary has you standing on the sidelines cheering on the players in both forms.

There is evil intent brewing; missed by those responsible for dragon security, and Peter finds himself in the middle of an escalating and frightening takeover at work and on the pitch. This builds to a dangerous climax when all could be lost for both humans and the majority of benevolent dragons. Revelations about the past and the intentions for a darker future lay the groundwork for the next book in the series which I am looking forward to.

There is magic, danger, adventure and plenty of thrills throughout the book, and it would appeal to young adults who enjoyed Harry Potter, as well as adults who enjoy well written fantasy, and are looking for an established series to follow with several books to enjoy.

I've never read a book quite like this before. I found the story intriguing and the characters interesting. It is a fabulous thought that there may be a whole hidden world beneath our world. I wish we had such punctual trains! Most stories with dragons in are written from the viewpoint of the humans interacting with them but this is the other way round. A thrilling story plus dragons and exciting sports commenting. I really enjoyed it and found it hard to stop when I had to do something else! Definitely recommend this book as a good read.

A very imaginative book with likeable and some not so likeable characters. Good worldbuilding, well written and nicely paced. As I'm a huge fan of Dragon books, I finished the book although it was a bit slow to get into but then again, most good books are. I enjoyed the story and found it hard to put down. I like Paul Cude's writing style, I like the world building and I loved the dragons. It was actually quite a believable story and a hugely enjoyable one. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Dragon books, it is a truly enjoyable read and it certainly doesn't disappoint. Definitely my kind of book.

Fresh, fun and imaginative. I loved the alternative version of George and the Dragon and the story that followed. Stayed up late last night to finish it.

What an enjoyable read by a new for me author.
I really liked the main characters they all found their way to my heart. Peter with his self-confidence missing, Tank always full of knowledge and Richie always full of mischief, I think she's my favorite out of the three.
The storyline was full of interesting information, lots of intrigue, action and adventure. Mr Cude has definitely got a wild imagination with the description of the exciting dragon game the friends watched, it had me on the edge of the seat waiting to see what happened next and who would win!
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series...

I'm not usually a big fantasy genre reader, but this book was fantastic!

It not only kept my interest throughout, but I could hardly stop reading to see what was going to happen next!

The fantasy genre authors usually make me marvel at their other-world ingenuity and creativity but this author took it to a whole new level! His descriptions made it possible to not only visualize the scenes but you felt as if you were actually there! Even the field hockey scenes (of which I know absolutely nothing about) I was able to follow along and understand! Not to mention the covert entrances to the dragon domain! What an incredible imagination!

A plethora of wonderfully diverse characters await to keep you entertained and you will adore the three main characters, Peter, Tank, and Richie! And the villain? Don't even get me started! It's a sign of a great writer when they can make you love/hate the characters!

I've had this book on my TBR list for quite some time, and follow the authors newsletter. I wish I had gotten to it sooner! I look forward to reading the next book as well as others by Paul Cude! Well done!
